Curriculum and Instruction Master's Program

The TED University Curriculum and Instruction Master's Programs (English), available in both thesis and non-thesis options, are designed to facilitate the ongoing professional growth of teachers through the guidance of our esteemed faculty members. The programs also aim to enhance the professional growth of teachers by enhancing their knowledge, skills, and competencies, and serve as a significant milestone for candidates seeking to pursue doctoral programs.

TED University Curriculum and Instruction Master's program (with and without thesis) is intentionally designed to include different strands related to educational sciences and teacher education. It has a modular structure that serves individuals seeking to focus on educational sciences, primary education, or mathematics education. To that end, the program has 1) Curriculum Studies strand including courses such as “Curriculum Development in Education” and “Curriculum Evaluation in Education”; 2) Primary Education strand including courses such as “Social Sciences Teaching” and “Turkish Teaching”; and 3) Mathematics Education strand including courses such as “Primary Mathematics and Teaching” and “Activity and Material Design in Mathematics Teaching”.

1. Application Requirements
For admission to TED University Curriculum and Instruction Master's Program with or without Thesis, a 4-year undergraduate degree is required. Scientific Preparation Program may be applied depending on the undergraduate program graduated. 

Candidates are required to have at least 55 ALES equal weighted score.


A score of 70 is required from TEDU English Proficiency Exam (EPE) (or equivalent national or international language exam).*Upon the completion of the application process, candidates will be accepted into the program based on the criteria outlined in YÖK(The Council of Higher Education)'s Graduate Education and Training Regulations.

*Undergraduate graduates from TED University are not required to meet the English language proficiency criteria.

2. Evaluation of Applications

The evaluation criteria of the applications are given below.
- Undergraduate graduation grade point average: 20%
- Interview: 30%
- ALES-Equal Weight: 50%

3. Required Documents for Application

1. Current CV
2. A scanned copy of the transcript from the last graduated or current undergraduate program.
3. Current ALES result certificate and a scanned copy. (International students may submit GRE scores instead of ALES).
4. English Proficiency Certificate (TOEFL-IBT, TOEFL-PBT, +TWE, KPDS, UDS, YDS, YÖKDİL) for applicants other than TEDU graduates. Students without such a certificate may take the English Proficiency Exam (EPE) administered by TEDU English Language School. For more information, please see https://els.tedu.edu.tr/esdegerlik.
5. Certified Undergraduate Diploma or Student Certificate for graduates.
6. Photocopy of Identity Card.
7. Military Service Status Certificate for male students.
8. Diploma Equivalency Certificate (for diplomas received from abroad).
9. Letter of Intent.
10. Letter of Reference (2 copies) (Required from candidates who are not TEDU graduates)
